Our Beliefs

Partnership is essential.

We know that we can only add value to our clients if we work in partnership – we never pretend to know more about your business than you do.

No two organisations are alike

We don’t deliver “off the shelf” packages. Every intervention is designed or customised as a “best fit” solution to the unique needs of your organisation.

People learn in different ways.

We are committed to creating supportive learning environments in which people feel encouraged and motivated to learn and develop their skills and knowledge.

Why work with us?

Fiona Irving portrait 2

FPI Associates has supported over 50 corporate clients since 1998. Our experience has taught us that five fundamental elements endure wherever people work together; the desire of employees to be led & managed effectively, to be communicated with consistently and authentically, to be offered an opportunity to grow, develop potential & to be treated with respect and to work in a safe and empowering environment.

I draw on my wide experience, my own personal development to inform my training, mentoring, feedback & coaching in the areas outlined above.

I am accredited as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) by the ICF (International Coaching Federation), having studied for my Professional Coaching Diploma with Optimus Coach Academy. This programme represents rigorous training and assessment to ICF PCC (Professional Certified Coach) standards and ethics and is recognised by both the ICF and the Association of Coaching (AC) as an Accredited Coach Training Programme (ACTP). You can find out more by reviewing my Coaching Profile.

In addition, I hold a Diploma in Assertiveness Training for Trainers and am a licenced practitioner of both MBTI and DISC personality profiling instruments. I have also trained as a Career Coach with Personal Career Management.

Have a Question?

FAQ

Of course! All commissions start with a complimentary, no obligation conversation in which we can explore the issue and gauge whether FPI Associates is the most appropriate source of support. If we both agree, we will then prepare a proposal outlining our initial approach to an intervention; it’s key objectives, next steps and costings for your consideration.

We hope that our website clarifies what is important to us and how we like to work.  But the real chemistry check is best done face to face when you can explore our experience and more easily imagine us working within your culture. Understanding your business is essential for us, too, if we are to add value to it. So, we work hard to get to know you as a potential client and to gain insight into your priorities and values.

Not at all – although that would be the ideal! The wonders of technology mean we can connect online (through Zoom, FaceTime or similar) and relevant materials can be emailed or sent to you in advance of coaching sessions.  A complimentary “chemistry check” conversation is the first step to deciding whether to engage our services. Drop me an email to fix up an initial meeting!

Well, that really depends upon your objectives and how they can best be met, given your culture and unique operational constraints. That is why we don’t sell “one- size- fits- all” learning and development solutions but prefer instead to design or tailor products to best fit our clients’ needs, which can often be complex and variable. All our work starts with a conversation and cost proposals are developed from that point.

Certainly – for example we adapted a Management Skills programme for a client that was previously delivered as a one-day face-to-face workshop across the UK. This is now running as a three- part online programme and is receiving very positive feedback. We were also asked, early in the pandemic, to design and deliver a Wellbeing & Resilience module for managers who were adjusting to working – and leading - from home.
